Sonic Blaster Screwdriver Combo WIP

Description

This is pretty raw atm. My first goal was to create a sonic screwdriver out of parts from Radio Shack and get as far as possible without using any tape or super glue. I wanted as many parts to be threaded and screwed together as possible, and it took a while to put the random parts together, but after many tries and some raw fingers I think I met with roaring success.

The parts are mostly phone jack switches, couplings and do-it-yourself LED light components and switches; high quality parts from Radio Shack, and then an LED flashlight/glowstick combo thrown in for good measure.

It's a little fragile in three areas, the upper screwdriver that looks somewhat like a gun's sight component is loose and will flop from side to side. :/ I will make some attempts to reassemble those parts in a different way, and when that has failed I'll just pull out the super glue.

I was originally planning on building a double barrel screwdriver, and after successfully conjoining the two sections securely I realized the tool was about impossible to hold in one's hand without making the main shaft exorbitantly long.

So now it's going to be a sonic blaster, with a mult-functional and detachable sonic screwdriver.

It's a work in progress, once it's properly super glued and sturdy, the next steps will be adding an LED light to the screwdriver shaft and building the handle and trigger of the gun. As of now, I think the glow stick is staying, (it won't light up, that part of the glow stick is in the main barrel of the blaster) though it will be severely covered up, as I already have leather to use for making the grip. After that, the little details will come next to finish it up.
